[Today's entry begins with some lovely video footage of Dash bouncing a ball off of her head, a smirk on her face as she addresses the journal. Yes, she is going to keep doing this the whole time while mentally counting the number of hits she can make.

Yeah, she's being as show-offy as usual. But onto the message!]

Okay, show of hooves-- or hands, paws, whatever you've got.

[She holds out one of her front legs and bounces the ball right onto the hoof, and then she bumps the ball back up and continues bouncing.]

Point is, I know there are people hangin' around who aren't hue-mans. I mean, Kazooie, that lion, and Pommy sure aren't, and they can't be the only ones!

[Not to mention Mewtwo and Moro.

But, herp, more bouncing. Who knows how long she'll keep this up?]

I just wanna get a headcount because I'm thinking of starting some kinda club. I mean, hue-mans aren't all bad, but we're kinda in the minority here. Might as well hang out and get to know each other!

So, anyone up for it?

[And she bumps the ball one more time, kicking it aside. There! She's totally made Luceti's ball bouncing record.]

[After her little message, Dash can be found hovering around the village. No clouds this time, but a colorful pony still stands out. She'll be dropping by the bakery for some delicious chow, maybe scoping out Seventh Heaven for good measure and then proceed to the center of town, where she'll be looking up at the sky and jotting some stuff down on a clipboard. ...using her mouth to write. Point is, she's everywhere. Come bug the silly pony if you wish.]

Nothing is bad about it. In my own world, they are different from any other kind of creature, and I still think of creatures as acting like a human or like a Pokemon, whatever they might actually be.

So how do Pokémon act, anyway?

[Besides, well, Mewtwo. He's just one Pokémon, after all.]

Yep, that's what I mean.

[Meanwhile, she's trying to think of how different ponies are from humans. Well, aside from being herbivores.]

[Hmmmm. Thinking about that.]

We are more connected to and understanding of nature.

[wannabolt]

[She nods.]

Makes sense to me! Ponies are like that, too. Especially earth ponies, since they're the ones who take care of all the plants an animals. Pegasi mostly take care of the weather.

Pokemon do not invent things the way humans do. Some build elaborate nests or hives, but only as their instinct drives them to. We are mostly content to make do with the world we have.

[wannabolt]

Huh, so it's kinda like animals.

[Makes sense! Kinda.]

Well, ponies aren't exactly like that. I mean, we invent stuff, live in towns and cities, and stuff like that. But I still think we're a step closer to nature than hue-mans.

[Hm.]

Maybe that's because us ponies have to take care of nature ourselves. In Equestria, we have to make the weather, handle day and night, care for plants and animals... None of it happens by itself.

Pokemon are capable of things like that. There are some places where they create rich habitats with their powers, if the natural land and weather could not meet their needs. But those are special cases.

[wannabolt]

So they only do it when they have to?

[Still sounds pretty weird to her...]

I don't think that's quite it.

I think they do it when they are supposed to.

[that doesn't make any sense on its own does it]

Like rain nourishes plants, or plants become food for Pokemon. They do what is natural for them, and it is part of the system. Different kinds live in different ways.

It's hard to explain. I can't speak for all Pokemon, since I've never been involved in a system like that.

It sounds really complicated. I mean, rain's important for food and plant growth, but I'm so used to it being made by pegasi.

It's only complicated when you're trying to explain it from the start.

What are you planning for the "non-human club"?

Still workin' out the kinks, but I figure we can meet somewhere cool, like the rec center, hang out, have fun, and have tons of snacks.

[A beat.]

And get to know each other, talk about our problems, that sorta thing.

I would attend.

[wannabolt]

Sweet! I'll jot you down for whenever I get things set up. Just gotta figure out a good time to set up meetings. Wouldn't wanna make it tough on everybody.

[A pause.]

And maybe I should whip up some posters.
