[Today's entry begins with some lovely video footage of Dash bouncing a ball off of her head, a smirk on her face as she addresses the journal. Yes, she is going to keep doing this the whole time while mentally counting the number of hits she can make.

Yeah, she's being as show-offy as usual. But onto the message!]

Okay, show of hooves-- or hands, paws, whatever you've got.

[She holds out one of her front legs and bounces the ball right onto the hoof, and then she bumps the ball back up and continues bouncing.]

Point is, I know there are people hangin' around who aren't hue-mans. I mean, Kazooie, that lion, and Pommy sure aren't, and they can't be the only ones!

[Not to mention Mewtwo and Moro.

But, herp, more bouncing. Who knows how long she'll keep this up?]

I just wanna get a headcount because I'm thinking of starting some kinda club. I mean, hue-mans aren't all bad, but we're kinda in the minority here. Might as well hang out and get to know each other!

She'll be dropping by the bakery for some delicious chow, maybe scoping out Seventh Heaven for good measure and then proceed to the center of town, where she'll be looking up at the sky and jotting some stuff down on a clipboard. ...using her mouth to write. Point is, she's everywhere. Come bug the silly pony if you wish.]

Look cutesy and sometimes help out. Mostly they make the hero look good.

But why do they make the hero look good, if they're the cutesy ones? It would just make themselves look better, right..?

Because next to the cutesy sidekick, the hero looks even cooler.

Plus, the sidekicks kinda cheer 'em on.

So if they're sidekicks, they're also a bit like a cheerleader. ... But not every cheerleader is a sidekick.. unless the entire team is a sidekick to the sports team.

They're like a cheerleader/helper, basically. I guess you could say that most sidekicks are cheerleaders, but not all cheerleaders are sidekicks? Because sports teams are totally different.

But sometimes they say sports teams 'save the day' too when they win, right? [ guess who doesn't know how other people might use some expressions figuratively. ]

Not exactly. I mean, winning might cheer people up, but it's not the same thing as fighting evil and stuff.

But fighting evil would make people happy too, right..? I'm sure people would be very happy to know there's no more evil things in their city..

Well, yeah. I guess the big difference is that people aren't in serious danger at a sports game... usually, anyway.

Sports games are actually pretty dangerous.. did you know that injuries associated with participation in sports and recreational activities account for 21 percent of all traumatic brain injuries among children in the United States?

[ yes, she knows facts like that about countries she isn't even from.. ]

Wait, what?

[That sounds... pretty brutal, okay.]

It never gets that bad in Equestria. Sure somepony might get hurt, but that's nothing compared to 100 years of smoke or eternal night.

Exactly, that's why sports are very, very scary, and you should not play them too much.. you see?

Are you sure you could handle all of that? I mean.. it's very dangerous, and you could get really hurt..
