Sooo... Luceti. Got any tips for caring for lions? That kid Simba's chilling with me and Pinkie Pie, buuut I know stuff like cupcakes, hay fries, and pop aren't exactly gonna work. See, if Fluttershy was still here, this wouldn't be as tricky, but usually lions don't go hanging around Ponyville.

I've been grabbing some meats for him, but like. Is there anything else I oughta know? A place like this isn't exactly tailored to big cats.

Which brings me to my next order of business. Back at the town meeting I brought up making this place more accessible for those of us without hands. Now, I can handle doorknobs and stuff with my hooves just fine, but that's not gonna fly for him. So... I was thinking maybe some of us could pool together mission points for some applied Shifts, just as an alternative. If anyone's interested, I mean.

[With that, she closes the journal, tosses it into one of her saddle bags and begins her adventure into... shudder. The meat section.

Passersby are free to notice this candy colored pony flying back and forth between the shops and House 45.

Anyway, I don't see what lions have to do with turtles, but swinging doors are probably the best route, since it's not like he's big enough to reach a doorknob. And even if he was, I doubt he'd be able to grip 'em very easily with his paws.

I've never met a pegasus pony before! An' lionturtles are animals back home. We don't have just lions. Shikamaru thinks that mostly our animals are all like two of other people's animals.

We-ell, I bet people'd be willing to help change doors to places! There's lots of people with lots of free time, anyway.

And having two animals mixed together sure sounds weird. I mean, turtles are reptiles, and lions are cats. How's that even work?

Buuut... yeah. I'm hoping people are willing to make some changes because non hue-mans deserve convenience, too.

An applied Shift may not be necessary for the doors. Have you considered instead changing the doors to ones that are more accessible? Perhaps a type that slides open or one that can be pushed?

See, I could probably do that for the house, but for the rest of the village, I feel like it'd take some effort for all the shops and stuff.

It would, but just a matter of getting some volunteers and also gaining the permission of the shopkeepers to install them.

Yeah, good point. I just hope the shopkeepers would be willing to, since it is kinda a hassle.

But the fact is, Luceti isn't populated by just hue-mans, so it's important to make the place accessible for everybody. And swinging doors might not be as secure, but most of the business aren't in any real danger. It'd be different with people's houses and stuff. Those I don't expect to change.

[Ororo was flying over the plaza, on the way home from one of her daily trips to the Battle Dome, when the series of rainbows catches her attention. Well now, that's not something she sees everyday!]

[She flies a little lower, curiously looking around for the cause of such a pretty sight.]

Okay, I'm pretty sure the wings are way too small to support flight.

Well, he's a lion - he's solely carnivorous. Meat is all he would eat in the wild.

As for your second problem - I'd say kitty doors, but he's going to get to big for those.

Yeah, a cat door might work for now, but I'm pretty sure he'll be growing fast, so it's probably better to just replace the door.

And I figured meat would be a good way to start, I'm just wondering what kinda meat works best. Like, cow or fish, that sorta thing.

Uh, probably a cow. In Africa, they usually take down large prey like zebra, antelope, etcetera.

I also do not think that a dangerous carnivore ought to be capable of roaming free in the village. Even if you provide it with food, the risk of an attack remains an issue.

Yeah, I'm definitely not gonna leave him alone for too long. Kid doesn't have any other lions to hang with, and it's not like he's got anybody to teach him how to hunt and do all that... lion stuff.

[She shrugs. Really, Dash hasn't done the most logical thing-- research.]

That's why I took him in in the first place; the forest is way too dangerous for a half-pint like him. Problem is, he's... really not used to living in an actual town.

Yep! Scrawny little cub, got dropped off on a roof... I think he's the same Simba who was here before, just a whole lot younger.

Well, yeah. Sometimes people here show up from different times, so... Simba must've come from the past this time around.
