Sooo... Luceti. Got any tips for caring for lions? That kid Simba's chilling with me and Pinkie Pie, buuut I know stuff like cupcakes, hay fries, and pop aren't exactly gonna work. See, if Fluttershy was still here, this wouldn't be as tricky, but usually lions don't go hanging around Ponyville.

I've been grabbing some meats for him, but like. Is there anything else I oughta know? A place like this isn't exactly tailored to big cats.

Which brings me to my next order of business. Back at the town meeting I brought up making this place more accessible for those of us without hands. Now, I can handle doorknobs and stuff with my hooves just fine, but that's not gonna fly for him. So... I was thinking maybe some of us could pool together mission points for some applied Shifts, just as an alternative. If anyone's interested, I mean.

[With that, she closes the journal, tosses it into one of her saddle bags and begins her adventure into... shudder. The meat section.

Passersby are free to notice this candy colored pony flying back and forth between the shops and House 45.

S-Simba? [Is this the same lion named Simba he knew before? Then again, he wasn't a cub...]

Well, that's a pretty neat trick. Usually only pegasus ponies and maybe unicorns can pull off tricks like that.

But if you wanna draw, knock yourself out! I wouldn't mind seeing what these turtle guys look like. And help's always appreciated.

Yeah, no. Just because I'm head of the non hue-man club doesn't mean I've got anything against you guys. I'd rather there be no conflicts, personally. I just want things to be a little easier for us, that's all.

Well, they exist, but they sure don't live around Ponyville. Princess Celestia might have a few in her garden, but typically large predators don't hang around town except for bears.

Though I did see this huge, ferocious manticore once! They're kinda like lions.

My grandpa and sister and Korra and Uncle Roku can all do it, too! [ AIRBENDERS FTW ]

Yep! Scrawny little cub, got dropped off on a roof... I think he's the same Simba who was here before, just a whole lot younger.

Huh, man. That's a whole lot different than I expected. I almost thought it'd look like, I dunno. A turtle with huge fangs and a crazy mane. Maybe horns.

Because horns... make things look ferocious. And that's pretty standard for lions.

[Heh.]

Then again, that still does have some pretty huge teeth.

Yeah, that should work. I'm sure it's close enough to a water buffalo to work out for him.

I would recommend looking for references within the library. There have been cases in the past where people have successfully reared an orphaned cub to maturity. It is not impossible.

An air bender? [tilts her head to one side, curiously.] That is a curious way of putting things. I suppose in some ways I "bend" the air... [to her will, that is.]

I'll just have to get a pretty big stash. Got a feeling he's gonna eat like crazy, since... well, he's gonna be getting pretty huge.

Well, yeah. Sometimes people here show up from different times, so... Simba must've come from the past this time around.

But how'll I even know where to look? Don't libraries have like... a million books?

Huh. Well, okay, 'cause I saw this kid over the journal earlier who could mess with the air to make herself float and stuff.

[But this lady must be from a different world, especially if the term's unfamiliar to her.]

Hmm, yeah, most lions - if he's like the lions I know - get to be a few hundred pounds, at least.

A child? [Hm, that's interesting.] Well, I fly in roughly the same manner, you could say.

Heh. Good thing we've got loads of room! He's way too scrawny to be living outside right now, even if houses are... kinda new to him.

Well, it sounds like it comes in handy! I know I'd hate being stuck on the ground.

[Flying's where it's at, even if it doesn't involve wings in Storm's case.]

As would I. There's a certain, heady rush in flight that I've not found elsewhere. [Smiling because this is familiar territory!]

Totally! Flight means freedom. You can move up, down, left right... hah. The sky's the limit!

[And to demonstrate this, she does a quick loop, followed by a barrel roll.]

Plus you can easily hit high places and get an awesome view.

[What an excitable little pony! Ororo decides to humor her, following lazily along through the air, her movements more graceful than daring.]

Unfortunately, I don't quite have the power to leave a trail of rainbows in my wake as you do.

R-right. I mean, I-I know! I just n-never thought about it... being... that... far... back...
