So, what's with all the lovey dovey crud going on lately? Hearts and Hooves day was a few days ago-- or Valentine's Day for you hue-mans, I guess. Point is, it's gotta be the lamest holiday out there. Love's fine, I guess, but it's totally not my thing. Not that kinda love, anyway.

[She groans, fluttering into the air.]

Anyway, if there's anybody not affected by this sappy shift, lemme know. Maybe we can arrange some kinda 'sane' party... assuming Pinkie Pie's not caught up in it.

[Either way, Dash can be found tentatively wandering the village, grumbling about how gross and sappy and dumb this whole thing is. At the item shop, she runs in to find a cool skateboard... only to find one with heart patterns. Seriously... hearts? On a skateboard? Lame!

Later, she'll swing by the bakery for some tasty snacks before zipping off to the Rec Center for a little video game distractions. Yes, she can somehow play despite her marshmallow hooves. Best not to question it.

At the end of the day, she can be found slipping into Seventh Heaven. Y'know, just to try something a little more dinnery than she usually eats.]

[Giggle.] Somepony didn't get very many Hearts and Hooves Day cards back home~. This holiday is a blast, Dashie! All the laughing, and the happy faces... not to mention all the yummy sugary sweets!

Well, it's not like I'd start developing feelings for a hue-man or something. They're not bad, but it'd be way too weird.

Well, it's more like Hearts and Hooves day is the closest thing we've got to Valentine's Day.

And it's got Hooves in the name because... ponies?

Nnnnot exactly. Nightmare Night doesn't have anything to do with ponies in its name and neither does Hearth's Warming Eve. Not to mention the Summer Sun Celebration.

Uh... I guess. Mostly we just give presents and set up decorations. Time with friends and family's a big part of it, too.

But that's exactly what warming your heart is all about.. isn't it? The thing that really, really warms my heart is being with my friends, after all.

True! Heck, the holidays just aren't the same unelss you've got friends to share 'em with.

Ah, I'm glad you understand too. Being without friends is so terribly lonely, I wouldn't want anyone to have to deal with that.. [ Mostly since she knows what it feels like, she didn't know anyone for about ten years, if not more. ]

Yeah... And I think that's the one downside about being here sometimes. Like, I'm glad I've got people to talk to and hang with, but when all your friends vanish at the drop of a hat, it does kinda put a damper on things.

But I guess having memories and stuff helps at least a little bit.

I'm not really against making new friends, either. It's just nice to have 'em stick around for a change.

Yeah, I kind of agree. It's nice if you have someone to spend it with, but if you don't, you just end up sitting around and feeling awkward.

Ugh, exactly. Like, okay, I've got no problem with people doing couple stuff, but with the way everyone's talking about it, it's totally awkward.

Especially since that's so not my thing.

Yeah. Or if you have someone who isn't here, it makes you miss them a lot more.

Yeah, I guess all of the chocolate is kind of a bonus, especially because you can stock up on it and have plenty to eat for months. That's what I do, at least.

Maybe I oughta do the same. There's some stuff you can really only find around Hearts and Hooves day-- or Valentine's, I guess. Sometimes it's good to keep a hidden stash.

Just make sure you don't tell the people you live with where it is or else they might end up trying to sneak some while you aren't paying attention.
