[Early in the day, people throughout the village might spot a suspicious rainbow streak jetting upwards into the sky. Higher and higher and higher she flies... Until, suddenly, that rainbow streak is rapidly plummeting down, faster and faster until there's a resounding CRASH!

Oh, was that your house she bumped into? Maybe your garden? Business? Whatever the case, there will be a few of these ridiculous crashes until Rainbow, being the stubborn pegasus that she is, moves onto plan B.

A bit later, something a little strange will appear... a cloud floating around the village. Now, seeing clouds in the sky isn't all that abnormal. Just another part of everyday weather.

But what about clouds that float ridiculously close to rooftops? Clouds that hover suspiciously over buildings, people, and are isolated from the others? Tiny clouds that, if one looks close enough, they may catch a bit of a rainbow fringe, sometimes a pair of binoculars, over the edge of the fluffy white stuff.

That's right. This cloud is spying on you strange people. ...Or whatever's up in the cloud, anyway.

Feel free to witness either event-- Dash's crash landings from the lovely barrier or her recon mission.]

Really? What else can you do?

Move the clouds, clear the clouds. I can make it rain or snow-- basically anything to do with the weather. Plus, I'm Equestria's fastest flyer and top athlete.

You can change the weather? I thought only Nami-chin could do that, but she has to use tools to help her. I've never met anyone who can do it on their own!

Every pegasus pony can do it. It's part of our job, just like the earth care for the plants and animals.

So there are other kinds of ponies where you come from too...?

Do you have... um... merfolk ponies, in your world?

Depends on what merfolk are, but I don't think so.

[Then again, it's not like she knows everything about Equestria. Maybe there's some kinda weird, obscure breed of ponies... kinda like Zecora. Except she's a Zebra.]

They'd... kind of look like me? I'm a mermaid. The only one in Luceti.

[And one of very few in all the worlds, apparently.]

So like some kinda sea ponies?

[Shoo be doo, shoo shoo be doo...

Nah. She shakes her head.]

Nope. As far as I know, there's just unicorns, pegasus ponies, and earth ponies.

[Not counting the princesses, who are alicorns and all that.]

Oh. I figured. [She sighs for a moment. The chances of another mermaid popping up in Luceti seems slimmer every day.]

Oh well. Still, meeting a pegasus from a world of ponies is still pretty cool~.

Yep, sure is. Especially when you're this cool.

[Ahh, the wonders of ego stroking. She seems pretty pleased, at least.]

[She chuckles lightly.] You'd probably look a little cooler if you weren't crashing so much.

That was just one slip up. It's not gonna happen again.

[And, just like that, she's hovering off the ground. Ah, the wonders of wings.]

You might wanna stand back. ...or scoot back, anyway.

[Since, well, mer-person.]

[She nods, turning and picking up her wheelchair and setting it upright. After a little effort, she hops back into the chair and pushes herself backwards.]

Don't hit the barrier this time, 'kay?

I'm not gonna hit a thing! Watch this!

[She takes off like a rocket, swerving in between the trees before shooting for the sky. Ever seen a pegasus clear the clouds? Well, Dash is gonna kick out a few of them with her hind legs, loop around, aaand land with ease.]

Wooooah! You knocked the clouds away super easy! And so fast, too!

And I'm just getting warmed up! If I really wanted to, I could clear the whole sky in ten seconds flat.

[A beat.]

But I'm not sure if that'd fly around here. [Since the weather's all weird and happens on its own.]

It must be so cool to be able to fly like that. I got to fly a couple times on my friend's dragon, but we didn't go very fast.

That's because dragons are way too bulky. Sure, they're strong, but when you're that huge, it's kinda hard to pull of any real stunts.

[And it's not like a dragon can pull off a Sonic Rainboom.]

Definitely. Doing tricks is the hardest part about going so fast. I try every once in a while, in the water.

Yeah, if you don't practice, it's easy to crash and burn. At least in the sky.

I haven't tried tricks in the water.

[Though it does sound interesting!]

You should give it a try sometime! Then I can show you what I can do~.

I might have to take you up on that. Maybe once I get the hang of this place.

[Since, y'know, she's gonna want to look around a bit first.]

Okay! Just be careful, okay? Most of the people are really nice, but some of them are pretty dangerous.

Dangerous? Pfff, that's no problem. I can handle whatever this place throws at me.

Really? You must be really strong to say that~. A lot of the people I've met here are super powerful.
