[Around the village, people are sure to find strange posters getting taped onto buildings, houses, businesses, trees, anywhere where people can't see 'em. Oh, and they're appearing at a rapid rate, as a rainbow streak zips around through the air, occasionally swooping down just long enough to put up more posters. These posters say:

"Tired of people staring because you look a little different? Hate when hue-mans freak out because you can talk?

If you're feeling lost and confused, like you're the only one of you around, then join the Standout Crowd, Luceti's super awesome club for non hue-mans!

First meeting's on Saturday the 16th, over at the Battle Dome! Hope to see you there!

P.S. If you've got questions, just ask Rainbow Dash. Rainbow pony, flies real fast. Can't miss her!"

And indeed, she will keep hanging around for a bit, stopping near poster sites to see how people react.

So, we all come from different worlds, some that're totally different from the rest. One thing I've noticed is that people still tend to act all confused when I tell 'em that Equestria has no hue-mans. Is it really such a crazy thing to grasp? I mean, it can't be any stranger than the crazy experiments the Malnosso put us through.

I guess what I wanna know is what you guys think of things that are totally different from your idea of "normal". Like 'em, hate 'em? Luceti's definitely good at shaking things up.

[Pinkie giggles, her head popping out of the top of a nearby tree.]

Now that you mention it, the hue-mans do act kinda funny when I first meet them. I thought they were just shy!

[Gah! Watch as Dash stumbles backwards and stares... only to shrug it off because, hey, it's just Pinkie Pie.]

Nah. They're from crazy worlds where ponies don't talk, and they look super weird.

Super weird? Like what? Do they have four eyes and eight hooves or something? [Giggle.]

[...Somepony's been reading too many comic books.

Dash shakes her head.]

Not that kinda weird. Their ponies and horses have small eyes and huge snouts. Plus, they don't have any cutie marks!

No cutie marks? Those poor little ponies! How do they figure out what they're good at?

Apparently the only special talent those ponies have is giving people rides.

[She groans.]

And they don't even talk!

[So Selphie's only talked to one pony in the village but this question is just too good to pass up.]

What if I told you that I come from a world where there are no ponies?

Ohmygosh that's terrible! It must be so hard to pick the weather if you have to carry hue-mans around all day!

I certainly have no trouble with beings that are different. My school is, ah, intended for such beings after all. Pegasus, demons, werewolves, vampires. They're all accepted at the Academy! But even Luceti's population took me by surprise. Then again, beings from other worlds are fascinating when you think about it. All I've ever interacted with were the ones from my own world.

[ Safe to say he can't complain much about it. He enjoys meeting new people, human or nonhuman. It's one of the better experiences that he's gotten out of Luceti. ]

See, that's a good way to look at it! I mean, once I got past the weird factor, all these other worlds definitely sound interesting. I sure wouldn't mind hearing more about them sometime.

Okay, if I was new to Luceti, I'd think you were crazy. Now? It wouldn't completely surprise me.

I don't think their worlds work that way, Pinkie Pie. Pretty sure their entire world's like the Everfree forest, where everything just... happens.

Hey, Rainbow Dash! [ Ryoji waves, since it's been a while since he last ran into her. ]

I really like seeing all the different types of people who show up here, and it's really neat to hear about all the different worlds! I got to go to Equestria a couple months ago with Fluttershy, and it was such a neat place to see. It's really different from where I'm from in a lot of ways. So... I guess one of the things I actually really love about being here is getting to hear about all the different things that aren't, um... "normal" where I'm from.

[It's cool, man. Dash'll grin right back at him.]

I totally agree with you. I don't think the idea of other worlds even hit me until I got here, but where else could you meet so many people from all kinds of different places?

It's just too bad the Malnosso couldn't send us to a whole bunch of worlds, but Equestria's a good pick, if you ask me.

Yeah, it definitely is a good pick, though it would be pretty neat to see more worlds. But we all somehow came here, right? So maybe we might wind up visiting still more worlds someday, too! That'd be pretty cool, I think.

[Houses, business, trees, dragons-- okay, okay, he actually looks like a rock when the poster gets slapped onto his nose. That's what he gets for dozing in camouflage. The rock that is Draco twitches, stirs, and...]

...nn... aah... aaaah... CHOO!

[The 'rock' sneezes the poster back off and finally uncurls, his skin fading back to normal hide and scales as he moves.]

Eh? What?

[Hang on a moment, dragon waking up here.]

"Hey, look. In my defense, you talking wasn't what freaked me out, it was the fact that you were so... rainbow-colored."

I sighed.

"Anyway, sorry if I came off as unpleasant. It was just... jarring. And not because of you."

Hey, if ponies can control the sun and moon, I'd say world travel's in the bag.

[Looking at the poster with quite a bit of amusement. He's still undecided on whether he actually counts or not. Does Beast? Maybe they should have a not-quite human club too, but in Luceti that would probably be a lot more than usual. For better or worse. Anyways he'll be answering that journal question too.]

I still can't get used to how there's no one over eight feet tall here. In my family I'm practically the runt, out of all 1600 of them. And our ships, the Moby Dick is always built with enough room for my father and Blenheim and Atomos to get around -- and they're like two stories tall. But here everything's built for someone even a little shorter than me. Pretty weird, eh?

After a while, nothing seems like "normal" anymore.

[Chien likes Luceti a lot more than he likes home, that's for sure.]

It's nice that people don't hate you right off because of what you are. [Because of how you are is a different debate all together, but he hasn't exactly figured that out yet.] But talking animals and stuff isn't really that weird to me or anything, since back home I could kind of feel what was wrong and all. I guess one of the strangest things are these wings.

[Which he flaps now. Hey, such warm weather gives him the chance to have his usual wear (which means no shirt) and he's enjoying it. A Taillow peers at Rainbow Dash on Chien's shoulder, flapping his own wings.]

But it sucks you can't even fly with them.

Though oh! I remembered there was something I wanted to ask you. I saw the posters you put up around town. Would you mind if I came to the Standout Crowd? At least for the first meeting.

Since I spent a while as a pony and have had a chance to sort of kind of live in both a world with no humans and one that's mostly humans - and then here, too! - I thought maybe I could help people understand some of the differences, if they wanted...

Anywho, I think ponies would get along with Chocobos. Except... they don't talk but they're just as awesome as ponies.

I believe that all people should allow themselves the chance to get along with one another, no matter their species.

Also, that being surprised at anything witnessed in Luceti is a waste of energy.
