[Around the village, people are sure to find strange posters getting taped onto buildings, houses, businesses, trees, anywhere where people can't see 'em. Oh, and they're appearing at a rapid rate, as a rainbow streak zips around through the air, occasionally swooping down just long enough to put up more posters. These posters say:

"Tired of people staring because you look a little different? Hate when hue-mans freak out because you can talk?

If you're feeling lost and confused, like you're the only one of you around, then join the Standout Crowd, Luceti's super awesome club for non hue-mans!

First meeting's on Saturday the 16th, over at the Battle Dome! Hope to see you there!

P.S. If you've got questions, just ask Rainbow Dash. Rainbow pony, flies real fast. Can't miss her!"

And indeed, she will keep hanging around for a bit, stopping near poster sites to see how people react.

So, we all come from different worlds, some that're totally different from the rest. One thing I've noticed is that people still tend to act all confused when I tell 'em that Equestria has no hue-mans. Is it really such a crazy thing to grasp? I mean, it can't be any stranger than the crazy experiments the Malnosso put us through.

I guess what I wanna know is what you guys think of things that are totally different from your idea of "normal". Like 'em, hate 'em? Luceti's definitely good at shaking things up.

Now that you mention it, the hue-mans do act kinda funny when I first meet them. I thought they were just shy!

Nah. They're from crazy worlds where ponies don't talk, and they look super weird.

Okay, if I was new to Luceti, I'd think you were crazy. Now? It wouldn't completely surprise me.

I certainly have no trouble with beings that are different. My school is, ah, intended for such beings after all. Pegasus, demons, werewolves, vampires. They're all accepted at the Academy! But even Luceti's population took me by surprise. Then again, beings from other worlds are fascinating when you think about it. All I've ever interacted with were the ones from my own world.

[ Safe to say he can't complain much about it. He enjoys meeting new people, human or nonhuman. It's one of the better experiences that he's gotten out of Luceti. ]

See, that's a good way to look at it! I mean, once I got past the weird factor, all these other worlds definitely sound interesting. I sure wouldn't mind hearing more about them sometime.

Hey, Rainbow Dash! [ Ryoji waves, since it's been a while since he last ran into her. ]

I really like seeing all the different types of people who show up here, and it's really neat to hear about all the different worlds! I got to go to Equestria a couple months ago with Fluttershy, and it was such a neat place to see. It's really different from where I'm from in a lot of ways. So... I guess one of the things I actually really love about being here is getting to hear about all the different things that aren't, um... "normal" where I'm from.

I totally agree with you. I don't think the idea of other worlds even hit me until I got here, but where else could you meet so many people from all kinds of different places?

It's just too bad the Malnosso couldn't send us to a whole bunch of worlds, but Equestria's a good pick, if you ask me.

[Houses, business, trees, dragons-- okay, okay, he actually looks like a rock when the poster gets slapped onto his nose. That's what he gets for dozing in camouflage. The rock that is Draco twitches, stirs, and...]

...nn... aah... aaaah... CHOO!

[The 'rock' sneezes the poster back off and finally uncurls, his skin fading back to normal hide and scales as he moves.]

Eh? What?

[Hang on a moment, dragon waking up here.]

[Okay, so Dash's experience with dragons is pretty much limited to Spike and that one Dragon who spewed smoke all over Equestria a while back, so when Draco sneezes the poster off and reveals himself, she lets out a gasp and stumbles backwards.]

Man, how'd you do that?

[It is pretty cool, though. Definitely would come in handy for pranks.]

[Voice]

"Hey, look. In my defense, you talking wasn't what freaked me out, it was the fact that you were so... rainbow-colored."

I sighed.

"Anyway, sorry if I came off as unpleasant. It was just... jarring. And not because of you."

[Voice]

[Oh, Harry. Give Dash a second; she's sorta snickering under her breath.]

Hey, it's cool. It's not like I'm super offended or anything.

[Looking at the poster with quite a bit of amusement. He's still undecided on whether he actually counts or not. Does Beast? Maybe they should have a not-quite human club too, but in Luceti that would probably be a lot more than usual. For better or worse. Anyways he'll be answering that journal question too.]

I still can't get used to how there's no one over eight feet tall here. In my family I'm practically the runt, out of all 1600 of them. And our ships, the Moby Dick is always built with enough room for my father and Blenheim and Atomos to get around -- and they're like two stories tall. But here everything's built for someone even a little shorter than me. Pretty weird, eh?

Yeah, I guess you're right. Luceti's basically the opposite of normal, no matter how you look at it.

[Chien likes Luceti a lot more than he likes home, that's for sure.]

It's nice that people don't hate you right off because of what you are. [Because of how you are is a different debate all together, but he hasn't exactly figured that out yet.] But talking animals and stuff isn't really that weird to me or anything, since back home I could kind of feel what was wrong and all. I guess one of the strangest things are these wings.

[Which he flaps now. Hey, such warm weather gives him the chance to have his usual wear (which means no shirt) and he's enjoying it. A Taillow peers at Rainbow Dash on Chien's shoulder, flapping his own wings.]

But it sucks you can't even fly with them.

[She groans, giving her regular wings a light flap.]

What good are wings if you can't use 'em for anything? I'm lucky I've still got my real pair, but that doesn't make it any less annoying.

But, you know, feeling what's wrong with animals sounds kinda like something Fluttershy could do.

[...ope. And she just left, too. Somepony's still bummed about this.]

Well, it's still kinda weird being one of the only ponies around, and I wish people wouldn't freak out so much.

[Even if it's mostly New Feathers that do.]

But the whole other worlds thing is pretty cool, and it's neat to see and hear what else is out there.

I believe that all people should allow themselves the chance to get along with one another, no matter their species.

Also, that being surprised at anything witnessed in Luceti is a waste of energy.

I'd say Luceti fits the definition of surprise. Just when you think you've seen everything, something totally new jumps out at ya.

[Then again, she's been around for almost a year, unlike some people.]

But I definitely think it'd be easier if we all just got along without worrying about looks and species. Guess it's just hard sometimes.

[Out for the usual trip to the bakery, Beast easily notices the newly-added piece of paper next to the door. He stops to read it, even if only to exercise his reading skills. But then he freezes after reading the first line.

"Tired of people staring because you look a little different? Hate when hue-mans freak out because you can talk?"

Almost instinctively he nods in agreement, not really noticing the spelling error as he briefly looks down at his hairy paw before returning to the paper. Is there a meeting for something like this? More people understand than he thinks?

... And then he reads the next line and is horribly disappointed.

"If you're feeling lost and confused, like you're the only one of you around, then join the Standout Crowd, Luceti's super awesome club for non hue-mans!"

He lets out a huge sigh and a groan and then turns to open the building door.]

[And it just so happens that Dash is taking another loop around the village when she catches sight of Beast. And, hey, the bakery always has tasty treats, so she might as well swoop down and see what's up.]

Well, I used to think it was a little strange when people told me they came from worlds that don't have any monsters, so I think I can understand why people would be surprised to find out that there are worlds without humans too.

I guess so, but I still don't see what the problem is. I mean, it's a totally different world, and it's not like this place isn't weird on its own.
