[Early in the day, people throughout the village might spot a suspicious rainbow streak jetting upwards into the sky. Higher and higher and higher she flies... Until, suddenly, that rainbow streak is rapidly plummeting down, faster and faster until there's a resounding CRASH!

Oh, was that your house she bumped into? Maybe your garden? Business? Whatever the case, there will be a few of these ridiculous crashes until Rainbow, being the stubborn pegasus that she is, moves onto plan B.

A bit later, something a little strange will appear... a cloud floating around the village. Now, seeing clouds in the sky isn't all that abnormal. Just another part of everyday weather.

But what about clouds that float ridiculously close to rooftops? Clouds that hover suspiciously over buildings, people, and are isolated from the others? Tiny clouds that, if one looks close enough, they may catch a bit of a rainbow fringe, sometimes a pair of binoculars, over the edge of the fluffy white stuff.

That's right. This cloud is spying on you strange people. ...Or whatever's up in the cloud, anyway.

Feel free to witness either event-- Dash's crash landings from the lovely barrier or her recon mission.]

[...Okay, this is new. Not one of those hue-mans she's seen all over the place. Veeeery interesting.

Just gonna hover here for a minute. See what he does.]

[Pommy continues staaaaaaring at the very odd cloud that's hovering nearby. Something's not right about it, but Pommy can't figure out what it is.

So, tentatively, he goes back to his sandcastle...but every now and again he glances back at the cloud. Whatcha gonna do, Mr. -- or Miss -- Cloud, huh?]

[Hmm. Soooo, what if, while he looks away, Rainbow Dash moves the cloud niiice and close, so that when Pommy looks back again, he's face-to-face with a ceiling pony?

That is, Rainbow Dash, dangling upside down from the cloud.]

[...SUDDENLY, A PONY!

The critter yelps, throwing his paws up in surprise...thereby flinging his shovel full of sand in Rainbow Dash's direction.]

[Well, she was gonna laugh... until that sand hit her in the face. Now she's trying to get it outta her eyes and mane.]

[Pommy gives Rainbow Dash a half-sheepish, half-indignant look.]

Myu! You scared Pommy!

[...Eheheh. Okay, maybe he doesn't take to pranks as well as the ponies in ponyville.]

... Uh, sorry, squirt.

What were you doing inside that cloud, anyway?

[Ope! She's gonna go back on top, dangling her legs over the edge.]

Just looking around, pulling off some pranks. Nothing huge.

Oh. Okay.

[Pause.]

Are you one of the "New Feathers" that Pommy's been hearing everyone talk about recently?

Guess so. I don't know about anypony else, but I just got here... maybe a few hours ago.

[She hasn't kept track of the time. Too busy adjusting here.]

So you are new!

[Pommy hops up and down.]

Well, welcome to Luceti! Pommy's name is Pommy -- what's yours?

[She's not sure how she feels about the welcome-- mainly because she didn't plan on coming here, but she'll deal.]

Rainbow Dash, huh? That's kind of a weird name. [Diplomacy check, completely failed!]

Weird? You mean cool, right?

Well, it's kind of cool too, Pommy supposes...

[He still thinks his own name is a lot better.]

Kind of? No, it's more than just kind of. Plus, it totally fits me. Watch this!

[Zzzzoooom! Suddenly taking off at a break neck pace, doing some loop-de-loops, and then landing.]

[Pommy's eyes light up, and he claps excitedly.]

Wow! That is pretty cool! Do that again!

[Go ahead, Rainbow Dash -- show off for this marshmallow!]

Well, since you asked...

[Time to take things up a notch. Picking up speed, Rainbow Dash rushes for the sky, doing more loops around and spiraling around some clouds. The result makes the clouds themselves get a wee bit spinny.

It's part of her Sonic Rainboom routine, but she's not going all the way just yet. After a few more stunts, she'll land with ease.]

[BEST. THING. EVER. Or, well, it's pretty damn awesome, at any rate. Any annoyance this creature might've had with Rainbow Dash for scaring him has evaporated with that impressive display.]

Myu, that's amazing! Where'd you learn how to do that?

It's all self-taught.

[Possibly. She might've picked up a few things from watching the Wonderbolts perform.]

Really? That's great! Pommy wishes Pommy could do something like that!

[Actually, thanks to his mimicry ability, Pommy technically could, if he had wings. That worked.]

[Heh. Well, if anything, this dude's amusing. His enthusiasm just makes her think of Scootaloo.]

That's one of the perks of having wings. You can pull off all kinds of stunts you could never do on the ground.

[Which is totally why she's Equestria's top athelete, even if Applejack comes pretty close.]

That makes sense! Though Pommy has a friend who can fly and she doesn't have wings. Pommy doesn't know how she can do it.

You sure she's not hovering? There's a huge difference!
